Websites and Press Kits for Musicians, Bands and Studios

Press kits a venue booker can scan on a phone, booking forms that reach you, and studio sites built for local search. We rebuilt a jazz quartet's Wix site as a press kit in 5 days, and have kept a Philadelphia recording studio's site current since 2020.

  • One-page press kits: bio, music, video, photos, press and booking
  • Booking forms that show your email address if sending ever fails
  • Players that load only when pressed, so pages stay light on a phone
  • A print-ready PDF and a QR code for flyers and set lists
  • Studio sites with a page per service and online booking

Music Work in Our Portfolio

Music Website Challenges We Solve

Musicians and studios run into the same few problems: heavy media, bookers in a hurry, and an old site whose links still get clicked.

  1. Challenge: Rich Media That Slows a Phone Down

Our Solution: Albums, videos and photo galleries can make a page heavy. Players load only when a visitor presses play, and images are sized for each screen, so the TNEK home page downloads 573 KB on a phone, against 2.1 MB for the Wix page it replaced.

  2. Challenge: Booking Inquiries That Quietly Go Missing

Our Solution: A form that posts to a free service can report success when the message was rejected. Ours counts only a real success as sent, refuses to run without its spam check, and shows the visitor the artist's email address if anything fails.

  3. Challenge: Leaving Wix Without Breaking Old Links

Our Solution: Links to an old site live on in press coverage, venue listings and social posts. We map every old address to the new site, with permanent redirects, so all 18 of TNEK's old URLs still land on a matching page, and an address that never existed still gets a real 404.

  4. Challenge: Getting Found for Each Service a Studio Sells

Our Solution: Recording, mixing, mastering and podcast sessions each compete for their own local searches. Sounds Like Soma has a page for every service, each with its own title and description and most with an FAQ, plus structured data that describes the studio and its prices to search engines.

What We Build for Musicians and Studios

The first five are built and running for a jazz quartet, a recording studio and a solo artist. The last two are things we can build on the same foundations.

Built and running for clients

  • Electronic Press Kits

Everything a booker needs, on one page they can scan.

    • Bio, music, videos, photos and press quotes
    • A tab for each player and each album
    • A print layout for saving as a PDF
    • A QR code and share links for flyers and phones
  • Booking Inquiry Forms

Inquiries that reach you, with no paid email service to run.

    • Each inquiry sent to your inbox and a Google Sheet
    • A spam check that blocks the form if it's ever switched off
    • Your email address shown if sending fails
    • No database to look after
  • Show Listings

Upcoming dates that keep themselves current.

    • Shows pulled from your Bandsintown listings
    • New dates on the site within an hour
    • No one has to edit the site to add a gig
  • Recording Studio Websites

A site that sells each service and takes the booking.

    • A page per service, written for local searches
    • Work samples with YouTube and Spotify players
    • Reviews from your Google listing
    • Booking and payment links through Square
  • Moving Off Wix

Your content, links and brand carried over intact.

    • Photos, quotes and links recovered and credited
    • Every old URL mapped, with permanent redirects
    • Your existing brand guide followed
    • A real 404 for addresses that never existed

We can also build

  • Merch Stores

Shirts, vinyl and posters sold from your own site.

    • Products with sizes and stock counts
    • Checkout through Stripe or Shopify
    • Order emails to you and the buyer
    • An admin you run yourself
  • Fan Email Sign-Ups

A mailing list you own, instead of one a platform owns.

    • Sign-up forms on every page
    • Lists by city for tour announcements
    • Release and show emails you send yourself
    • Unsubscribes honored automatically

Results From a Jazz Quartet's Press Kit

We rebuilt Kent Miller & The TNEK Jazz Quartet's Wix site as a one-page press kit. The first two numbers compare the live site with the Wix site it replaced; the third is how long the build took.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about working with us.

What is an electronic press kit (EPK)?

A one-page site with what a booker, venue or festival needs to decide: your bio, music, videos, photos, press quotes and how to book you. Ours load fast on a phone, print cleanly as a PDF, and come with a QR code for flyers and set lists.

Can you move my site off Wix or Squarespace?

Yes. We recover your photos, bios, quotes and links, credit each one, and map every address on the old site to the new one with permanent redirects, so links in press coverage and venue listings keep working. For TNEK, all 18 old URLs were mapped.

How do booking inquiries reach me?

By email, and into a Google Sheet if you want a running list. If a message can't be sent, the visitor sees your email address instead of a false confirmation, so no inquiry disappears. No database or paid email service is needed.

Can I update my shows and music myself?

Shows can come straight from your Bandsintown listings, so a new date appears on the site within an hour without anyone editing it. For the rest, we hand over a short how-to guide, or set up a simple editor if you'd rather change pages yourself.

Can you help my studio show up in local search?

We give each service its own page, written for the searches artists make, add structured data that describes your business and prices, and keep the site fast and accessible: Sounds Like Soma's home page scores 100 for SEO and accessibility. Rankings depend on more than the site, so we don't promise positions.

How much does a musician website cost, and how long does it take?

A press kit or band site usually fits our Starter Website tier, $1,500 - $4,500. A studio site with a page per service, booking and a blog fits a Business Website, $5,000 - $12,000. TNEK's press kit was built in 5 days.

Who owns the site and the domain?

You do. The domain is registered in your name, and once the final payment is made the code and designs belong to you. If your site is on our hosting account, it moves to yours whenever you ask.

Do you provide support after launch?

Yes. Fixes are free for at least a month after launch. After that, we're available by the hour or on a monthly plan from $375 for 5 hours, for changes like a new album, tour dates or fresh press quotes.
